Biographical Information

SPECIAL ELECTIONS: When a vacancy occurs in the General Assembly, the party Central Committee appoints someone to complete the rest of the term. Do you support special elections to fill these vacancies?

GENERAL ASSEMBLY VACANCIES: What criteria will you use to choose a person to fill a vacancy in the Maryland General Assembly?

MOTIVATION: Why do you want to serve on your party's Central Committee?

VACANCY SELECTIONS: How can you ensure that your appointment decisions serve the best interest of the community when filling vacant positions?

I support having special elections to fill vacancies.
We need fiscally responsible candidates who support reductions in spending and regulations to make Maryland more economically competitive and affordable and to stem the flight of affluent, fixed-income seniors and young residents to more attractive states.
I want to help make the Republican Party more successful in ending one-party rule in Montgomery County and making it more competitive statewide.

I support the party Central Committee continuing to recommend a replacement to the Governor. However, the appointee from the same party should serve only to the next general election in November - which can be a presidential year (ex: 2028)- where voters elect someone for the remainder.
The criteria would be that the appointee would have the same party affiliation as the one who created the vacancy and deep experience in government or business with a strong track record.
I want to help foster a healthy two-party system in Maryland to bring more centrist policies to reinvigorate Maryland. I grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland. After living in California, I learned that one-party rule leads to ideologically skewed measures. With more moderate policies that support good education, economic growth, and public safety, Montgomery County can attract private sector companies to diversify our tax base and reduce over-reliance on federal government employment.
I would ensure decisions serve the community's best interest by applying criteria stated above: same-party affiliation (as would be required) plus deep experience in government or business and a strong track record of results. I would seek public input from residents and prioritize candidates focused on moderate policies for education, economic growth, and public safety.
