Property taxes are one of the greatest concerns. As Auditor, I will prioritize fairness in property valuations while pursuing efficiencies that reduce unnecessary costs.
The math is simple: The cost of government is ultimately paid by taxpayers. Identifying efficiencies and reducing costs helps ease upward pressure on taxes.
Drawing on my experience as a former State Representative and current Union Township Trustee, I will bring strong fiscal oversight to the Auditor’s Office.
Housing availability and cost are major issues. Government can work with developers to extend infrastructure to rural areas. Economic development tools, such as Tax Increment Financing (TIF), could be utilized to increase housing availability and lower costs.
Growth must be balanced with infrastructure improvements.
As your full-time Clermont County Auditor, my staff and I will work with developers and property owners to help close the gap between housing supply and demand.
My resume checks all the boxes. I am a Tax Accountant with 30 years of business experience.
I have also served in state government as a State Representative and in local government as a Union Township Trustee.
My education and certifications include an MBA-Taxation, Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), and a school district treasurer’s license (exp. 2023).
This combination of financial, legislative, and local government experience has prepared me to serve effectively as Clermont County Auditor.
I will bring fresh oversight to the Auditor’s Office. After more than 30 years under the same leadership, it is healthy for any public office to receive an independent review of its policies and procedures. I will conduct the equivalent of an internal audit to ensure the office operates efficiently and transparently for all residents.
I will also prioritize reviewing high-value commercial properties to confirm that assessments are accurate. If large properties are undervalued, homeowners are paying more than their fair share of the tax burden. Accurate valuations promote fairness for everyone.
I also plan to launch an educational initiative featuring short YouTube videos explaining topics of interest to taxpayers.

Clermont County is facing two important challenges: managing rising costs responsibly and ensuring transparency in how public funds are used.
First — Fiscal Responsibility:
As costs increase, it is essential that county finances are managed carefully and sustainably. As Auditor, I will:
• Ensure accurate accounting and responsible financial oversight
• Strengthen internal controls and review processes
• Support long-term financial planning to maintain stability
• Work collaboratively with other offices to identify efficiencies
Second — Transparency and Public Confidence:
Residents deserve clear, understandable information about how their tax dollars are managed. I will:
• Improve the clarity and accessibility of financial reporting
• Make information easier for the public to find and understand
• Maintain an open and responsive office
The Auditor’s office plays a key role in supporting accountability, transparency, and public trust in local government.
I bring a combination of private-sector experience and current public service that aligns closely with the responsibilities of the Auditor’s office.
• Over 30 years of financial and operational experience in the private sector
• Current service as a Deputy Auditor in Clermont County
• Direct familiarity with the daily operations of the office
This experience has prepared me to:
• Analyze financial data and ensure accuracy
• Manage resources responsibly
• Support effective internal controls and reporting
I also understand that the Auditor’s role is fundamentally administrative and operational. It requires attention to detail, consistency, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Equally important, I value clear communication and accessibility, and I am committed to serving residents in a professional and responsive manner.
My goal is to ensure the Auditor’s office is efficient, transparent, and responsive to the public.
As Auditor, I would focus on:
• Maintaining strong financial oversight and accountability
• Improving the accessibility and clarity of public information
• Supporting efficient and reliable office operations
• Enhancing customer service for residents and businesses
I also hope to strengthen public confidence in the office by ensuring it operates with professionalism, consistency, and openness.
If the office is well-managed, accessible, and trusted by the community, then I will consider that a success.
