I am a 38 year law enforcement professional. Retired as a Lieutenant Commander from Shelby County Sheriff’s Office after serving in every bureau as a Patrolman, Sergeant and Lieutenant. Currently serving as a Criminal Investigator for the Shelby County District Attorney’s Office. Former Chief of Police for West Memphis Arkansas. Master’s degree in Criminal Justice from Bethel University and a graduate of School of Public Safety from North Western University for Sheriffs and Police Chiefs .
Public Safety and Jail Operations are my top two issues that I will address on day one. I will start by addressing the 736 vacancies by implementing an aggressive recruiting campaign to increase the man power in law enforcement and corrections. The additional man power will provide adequate staffing to address both public safety and jail operations. In which is very critical to enable us to provide quality service to our community.
I will attend monthly neighborhood association meetings and also have town hall meetings to listen and address their concerns. I will also have a citizens advisory board and clergy council to be transparent and accountable, allowing the community to receive feedback in a timely manner.
