I have a BS in Economics and Finance from Christian Brothers University and a BS in Health Information Management from the University of Tennessee. I have lived in District 10 for 55 years. I know our neighborhoods, our history, challenges, and our potential. My professional experience includes:
• Managing and developing people
• Working with budgets and data
• Adjunct at a junior college
• Advocating within government agencies
• Collaborating with people from all backgrounds
Shelby County must address POVERTY and the ills that accompany it! This requires collaboration between the County Commission, the County Mayor, the City Mayor, and other branches of local government working together toward shared solutions. My goal is to help build a stronger, safer, and more vibrant community for everyone by addressing poverty. Government must take a look at how poverty affects education, crime, safety, blight, economic development and the well-being of District 10.
I will start by listening to them. If elected, I will hold quarterly meeting with residents to ensure their needs are heard. In addition, I will create a strategic vision with clear deliverables, allowing constituents to track progress and hold me accountable. A quarterly newsletter will be published that highlights community accomplishments and positive developments, with a strong focus on youth achievements.

I’m a lifelong Memphian and a graduate of Hanley schools, deeply connected to District 10. I’ve advocated for working families from the U.S. Capitol to local government, helping expand SNAP access for vulnerable youth. I’ve worked in the Memphis Mayor’s Office and a Congressional district office, solving real constituent issues. I’m not preparing to serve because I’ve already been doing the work.
Two major issues are lack of transparency and the cycle of youth incarceration. I will push for clear, public reporting on how county funds are spent so residents know where their tax dollars go. I will also expand diversion and re-entry programs for non-violent youth, connecting them to education, jobs, and mental health support to reduce repeat offenses and strengthen our communities.
I will make government more accessible and responsive by holding regular town halls, maintaining open communication through social media and direct outreach, and creating opportunities for residents to give input before major decisions are made. I also plan to establish a youth internship program to ensure young people have a voice and direct experience in local government.
