I bring a unique combination of lived experience, professional leadership, and a deep personal commitment to education. I am a combat veteran, a mother of four children, and a parent with students currently enrolled in Talbot County Public Schools. My family’s daily life is directly shaped by the decisions made by the Board of Education, and that perspective matters.
Not every student’s future looks the same. Some will pursue college, others will enter the workforce or skilled trades, and our schools must prepare them equally well for each path.

This means making sure resources are distributed thoughtfully across our schools so that students in every classroom have access to strong instruction, technology, enrichment opportunities, and support services.

As a board member, I would advocate for policies that remove barriers to opportunities.
Student mental health is one of the most urgent challenges facing schools today. Young people are navigating unprecedented levels of stress, anxiety, and social pressure, and schools must be equipped to respond.

We must ensure that students have access to trained counselors, psychologists, and mental health professionals within the school system. Early intervention and accessible support can make a tremendous difference.
Our teachers are the foundation of a strong school system and supporting them must be a priority. Competitive compensation is essential. We also must focus on creating an environment where teachers feel respected, supported, and empowered. That includes manageable class sizes, strong professional development opportunities, and leadership that listens to educator's voices when shaping policies that affect their classrooms. When we invest in teachers, we invest directly in student success.
1. Safe and supportive schools. Students cannot focus on learning if they do not feel secure or valued in their classrooms. 2. Supporting and strengthening our educators. Our educators are the people who guide, mentor, and inspire students every day, and they deserve the resources and respect necessary to do their jobs effectively. 3. Expanding opportunity for every student. Talbot County is a diverse and growing community, and our schools must reflect that by creating pathways for all.
