If elected, I will deliver practical stewardship and modern, transparent governance to Latah County. My focus starts with continuous improvement to ensure welcoming customer service for all residents. I will work to reduce the property tax burden and address housing stability by leveraging my 20 years of experience to secure federal and state grant funding for critical projects. My platform includes five essential priorities: completing broadband internet access across the county, updating aging infrastructure, increasing local child care options for working families, prioritizing water conservation, and strengthening wildfire preparedness. I will ensure all growth is well-planned, locally guided, and rooted in the long-term public inter
For more than twenty years, my career in public service has been focused on managing complex budgets, strengthening accountability, and delivering practical results. I have experience securing and managing multimillion-dollar grant-funded programs—bringing in over $25 million in state and federal investment for conservation and infrastructure projects—which helps reduce the burden on local taxpayers. This work has involved strategic planning, regional collaboration, and financial oversight across multiple agencies and communities, preparing me to manage county operations, budgets, and long-term planning. I also bring governance experience from serving on the Palouse Prairie Charter School and the UI and WSU Lutheran Campus Council Boards.
Growth in Idaho and demand for housing and small farm parcels will bring economic development but can also subdivide our rich farmland and burden our aging infrastructure and over-allocated aquifers. We need strategic planning with community input to ensure we are protecting our resources and implementing the most pressing projects in the most effective timelines with the financial, staffing, and partner resources we have available. I can lead the strategic planning and find the right grant or federal funding to implement the projects we need without relying solely on property taxes to improve our county. I will also focus on improving local government systems to ensure they are transparent, efficient, and responsive to all citizens' needs.
I am running to ensure our county government serves the people of Latah County with integrity and openness. As a fourth-generation Inland Northwest family member who has raised my family here, I believe decisions should be guided by the public interest—not political insiders or special interests. I am committed to continuous improvement in county government, protecting our agricultural heritage, and making thoughtful, practical decisions that support a strong future for all of Latah County.
