The County Assessor serves a 4-year term and maintains a current record of ownership of all property within the county, prepares a map of all real property within the county, and assesses the market value of all property in the county. The assessor must notify each property owner of the assessed value of their property on an annual basis. The Department of Motor Vehicles is the responsibility of the County Assessor.

Assessor
Blaine County is facing rapid growth, rising property values, and pressure on housing affordability. That creates real concern about fairness in the property tax system.
As Assessor, my role is to ensure values are accurate, consistent, and based on real market data so no one carries more than their share. I focus on transparency, a clear appeal process, and reliable DMV services with better access and shorter wait times.
My approach is simple: accuracy, fairness, and good service.
I bring over 26 years of experience in the Assessor’s Office, including my eighth year as Assessor, along with a business degree from Lewis-Clark State College. I have a strong understanding of Idaho property tax law and valuation standards.
As Assessor, I have focused on improving accuracy, consistency, and transparency, while making our office more accessible through better customer service, expanded online tools, and stronger DMV operations.
I approach this job with accountability and a commitment to fairness for every taxpayer.
I stay engaged by being accessible and responsive. I make it a priority to answer questions, meet with residents, and explain our processes in a clear and straightforward way.
I also use online tools, community outreach, and day to day interactions through both the Assessor’s Office and DMV to stay connected with the public.
Good communication builds trust, and I work to make sure people feel heard and understand how their local government is working for them.
