I hope to bring a new and fresh perspective to the house. I hope to serve the people in a way that everyone feels heard and seem. I hope to have deep and meaningful conversations with the people who help get me elected. And to learn from the experts on matters that I may not have learned about. It is important to be effective, forthcoming, and informed. I want to be the voice of the people.

Yes I believe a woman should be in control of the body she lives in. No one should have more say so than a Physician and their patient.

Representative Dori Healey
My top priorities will be to continue advocating for the critical issues that directly impact our community. I’m focused on expanding access to quality healthcare, and reducing barriers for physicians. I’ll push for modernizing healthcare laws to better serve Idahoans and ensure affordable care for all. I’m also committed to working on initiatives that provide financial relief, like continuing to secure tax breaks that ease the burden on hard working families therefore combating inflation. Additionally, I will prioritize strengthening our education system to empower our children and provide pathways to career success. By focusing on healthcare access, economic stability, and education reform, I intend to keep making Idaho stronger.
I have had the privilege of actively serving on several key committees, including Health and Welfare, Commerce and Human Resources, and Local Government. Providing invaluable opportunities to represent both my district and the broader state of Idaho. Working within such a diverse district has allowed me to better understand the complexities and unique concerns of my constituents, a process that takes time, experience, and dedication. Navigating the distinct challenges and demands of each committee, I have refined my ability to prioritize the needs of District 15. This experience has deepened my understanding of our state’s legislative process, strengthening my commitment to advocating for the continued well-being and progress of our state.
One of the most significant challenges Idaho faces is the rising cost of living, driven by inflation and increasing housing and healthcare costs. As families struggle to make ends meet, addressing inflation and alleviating the financial burden on Idahoans becomes paramount. In this position, I aim to advocate for policies that provide relief from inflationary pressures, such as targeted tax cuts. Access to quality healthcare is another major issue, I plan to continue working on expanding healthcare access across the state. In short, I believe the most significant challenges—rising costs, healthcare access, and taxes—require thoughtful, practical solutions, and I am committed to addressing these.
In Idaho, the Defense of Life Act under Idaho Code 18-622 enables healthcare providers to prioritize the well-being of mothers when it is deemed necessary to safeguard their lives. This legal framework underscores the importance of protecting mothers while also valuing the lives of unborn children. I remain steadfast in my commitment to ensuring that both mothers and unborn children receive the care and protection they deserve, balancing compassion and responsibility in these critical moments.
Over the past two years, it has been a profound honor to serve Idaho as both a bedside healthcare provider and a legislator, working to bridge the gap between political policies and the patients they affect. I have carefully weighed each vote, always keeping the needs of District 15 at the forefront of my decisions. As a wife, mother, advanced practice nurse, and someone who lives, works, and raises children here, I deeply understand how each decision impacts our daily lives. It would be my privilege to continue serving this great state and our community.
