Work to create more open communication with builders, developers and engineers. Build relationship with SCDOT employees as I did when I was mayor to be able to call and address issues in my district. Attend school board meetings as well as town council meetings. I will not support the county trying to force roads to be maintained by the municipalities as they are currently trying to do. Municipalities do not have the funding for roads.
I am very firm on the right to carry a weapon as I have for decades. Got my first CWP around 20+ years ago. More trainings should be available and I believe that will begin happening since the open carry law passed.
First, you have to be aware of the situations by being in the community and answering your phone. I know in my district, the ambulance goal is 1 hour and that happens 58% of the time. That's ridiculous! I would also address taxes and look at efficiency of the county instead of trying to bring in more taxes/fees.

Growth will always be an issue in a county such as Lexington due to the great quality of life. I believe the only way to address the issue is through solid communication and development of quality standards. When I say quality standards I mean standards that find the happy median between developers and government. This will not only allow for quality healthy growth, but also allow for development of affordable houses. This allows for anyone from a first time homebuyer to a retirement age to make Lexington County their home. The process for traffic and infrastructure will take communication between county and state government working together. The widening of roads will not solve the problems we currently have.
Better gun education and stronger background checks.
My current District has always been one of the underserved being the rural makeup. While in office I have been able to change that through communication and pushing others to notice the demands. The best advocation is being a strong knowledgeable voice for your area and knowing the area.
