Carolyn and I raised 5 kids, two born in the house across from the biggest church in town. We didn’t have much except for family and kindness of new friends in Valley. We working folks lived in safety, peace and respect. After over half a century I’m still here, but my children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren all moved away. Valley’s record property tax increases and spending, and failed State Audit first in history, are bad. City won’t tell us who’s chief of police and who’s on duty to come when we call. When City water turns brown again, we don’t know why or who to call. City Hall just stopped respecting us for who we are, what we did, and what we can offer; don’t care what we want. I’ve got the experience to change that.
Four years ago Mayor Smith handed off a sensible budget that provided for major improvements in City water systems to handle future growth. City Engineer’s Report said start right away on water plant improvements to be ready. But, something else happened; taxes got collected but weren't spent on water systems, delaying this work for three years while banking the $ millions for something else. To get back to running our City like a business we’ll hold up on the new City Bldg and City Park. We’ll build on our existing City staff, getting and keeping more good employees to do their jobs right like they want. We’ll get that full time City Administrator, reorganize the police department, and do it all in plain sight for a change.

I am deeply passionate about our community and committed to making positive changes that benefit all residents. I also have a strong dedication to serving the people of Valley and will continue to work diligently on your behalf. I have demonstrated my passion and dedication numerous times through community projects including reviving community events, leading flood relief efforts and serving on several other non-profit boards. With years of experience in leadership roles and nearly eight years serving in city government, I am well-equipped to navigate through challenges and proactively lead Valley through the changes that accompany the rapid growth we are experiencing.
The City of Valley has been experiencing rapid population growth since 2010 however the growth and enhancement of city services, technology and economic development has not kept pace with the population growth. To ensure the City of Valley continues its vision of maintaining its small-town identity while realizing growth and economic opportunity, I will continue to take a proactive role in the development and future planning to ensure we are positioning ourselves the best for our residents and the future. As the current Mayor, I have also made transparency and enhanced city services a top priority, ensuring residents are involved, informed, and have easier access to city services and I will continue to enhance services in those areas.

There are currently issues that need to addressed and the only way to fix them is becoming part of the solution there has been six generations of my family that have lived in Valley and we have all had a commitment to the city. The citizens of Valley have been voicing many concern to the present administrations and go unheard. I served eight year on the city council before I positive I have the ability to govern the City of Valley
Number one is public safety our police department is having real issues our drug dog it's not available because his handler is currently suspended it appears to be undermanned. We need to start paying our officers a more competitive wage. Second our infrastructure has to be addressed we our lucky to be growing at a tremendous rate but we to make sure everything is in place to handle this.
