I appreciate input from organizations that promote the Constitution, freedom, truth, and faith in the public square: The Heritage Foundation, Christopher Rufo, Charlie Kirk at Turning Point. I listen to parents and families involved with Ottawa Impact and speakers like Tucker Carlson.

I find it very helpful to listen to my fellow Conservative board members.

I value the teaching and input from my pastors at Wellspring and people who have taught me God’s Word.

Also: Right to Life, Ottawa County Farm Bureau, Michigan State University, Michigan Association of Counties, GRAR, and more.
The county delivers core government services, especially in areas like law enforcement and community mental health.

Board members work collaboratively with county administration, departments, local units of government, and community members to meet needs.

By listening and working together, we all do our best to deliver services and Constitutional policies.

Unfortunately I have discovered reporters often write biased articles. I appreciate truthful citizen journalism by SimplyAmerican.com.

The Board must protect the individual rights of the people living in Ottawa County.

The best county governance prioritizes the Constitution, upholds the faith and values of the people, and treats everyone equally.

Employees who ignore the Constitution and fail to protect individual rights should be replaced immediately.

The current Board of Commissioners passed the Constitutional County Resolution and increased funding for the Veterans Department, prioritized law enforcement and body cameras, and passed the second largest health department budget.

All of this was accomplished by passing a budget with the smallest increase in five years!

As elected officials, good county governance also requires us to fulfill our campaign promises.
I love hearing from the public during County Commission meetings!

As Chair of the Board, I have made it a top priority to allow people to speak for 3 minutes at the beginning AND the end of meetings about ANY topic.

The former Board of Commissioners made it difficult to give public comments. They reduced speaking time from 3 minutes to 1 minute.

The county vision statement is Where Freedom Rings. The current Board is prioritizing freedom for everyone!

Ottawa County is filled with wonderful people who simply want to work hard, raise their families, and live their lives in peace.

I am thankful for the opportunity to serve the people and promote faith, family, and freedom. Ottawa is truly one of the best places to live in Michigan!
