I was a five time elected Commissioner of Finance for the city of Saratoga Springs. I am a current Saratoga County Supervisor. I have managed large research libraries for a commercial finance firm in Chicago, IL; and one for the U.S. Small Business Administration.
As the former Commissioner of Finance for Saratoga Springs, I successfully managed budgets and implemented fiscal reforms that strengthened our community's financial stability and saved taxpayers millions. I even proposed budgets with decreases in property taxes for residents. Currently I am serving as County Supervisor, and am an advocate for responsible spending and transparency in government. My experiences have shaped my commitment to public service, and I am humbled to be running for County Treasurer. I believe in fostering collaboration, transparency, and ensuring our taxpayer dollars are used effectively. Together, we can build a brighter financial future for Saratoga County.
We need more party diversity in Saratoga County. All leadership positions are held by one party - the Republican Party - and while I pride myself on working well within party establishments, it is time to have some party diversity. I also believe we need more transparency in the elected role of County Treasurer as most people do not even realize this is an elected position.
Enhancing Transparency: I believe that transparency is crucial for building trust with the public. I will implement regular financial updates and create user-friendly online platforms where citizens can easily access information about county finances, budgets, and where their tax dollars are going.
Engaging with Stakeholders: I plan to hold town hall meetings and forums to engage with citizens, local businesses, and community leaders. Their insights will be invaluable in understanding our financial priorities and ensuring that our strategies align with the needs of our residents.
In summary, my first 100 days as Treasurer will be dedicated to establishing a solid financial foundation, ensuring transparency, and engaging with our community to build a prosperous future for all. I am committed to being a Treasurer who listens, leads, and delivers results.
