Are there procedural improvements would you like to see implemented for this office?

What do you see most challenging in voter registration and the voting process?

What can you tell us about yourself?

I have already implemented several procedural improvements in the clerk's office. I now have bilingual deputies employed and many of the deputies have been cross-trained on different tasks. I would like to see more cross-training and efficiency throughout the office.
I would say the lack of empathy from our citizens. They feel that their vote does not matter, but that is actually very wrong. I have talked with many other county clerks and sometimes elections do come down to one vote. My opinion is if you do not vote, you do not have the right to complain about our local, state or federal government because you did nothing to try and change it. I wish more people would step up to help with elections and take an active part in our local, state and federal government.
I have been married for almost 27 years and my husband and I have 4 children. I have been in the legal profession for most of my career and I am passionate about the Clerk's office and Voter Registration. I would love the opportunity to serve Cass County again for another 4 years. I am very active in my church, the Republican party and I am presently serving as the Northern District Clerk's Association President and have served as the Cass County Republican Women's President. I count myself blessed since becoming Clerk with the friendships that I have made while working our local elections and getting to know the wonderful people who act as our poll workers, the candidates and those who seek to make Cass County a better place.
