What makes me different is that my leadership has always been rooted in service. As a wife, mother, educator, and Department Chair, I make tough decisions every day that put people first. I've spent my career investing in our students, supporting families, and working alongside our community—not just talking about change, but creating it. Because Miami Gardens is my home, my community, and my classroom, I understand the challenges we face and I'm ready to lead with integrity, collaboration, and a proven record of service. 1. Public Safety: Strengthen community policing, invest in traffic and pedestrian safety, expand youth programs, and ensure our police officers have the resources they need to keep residents safe. 2. Smart Growth & Infrastructure: Support responsible development that benefits residents while investing in roads, drainage, sidewalks, parks, and neighborhood improvements. 3. Economic Opportunity: Create a Small Business Hub, support local entrepreneurs, attract quality jobs, and expand workforce opportunities for residents.

I am running for City Council because I believe Miami Gardens deserves experienced, accessible, and accountable leadership that puts residents first. As a lifelong competitor, business owner, youth mentor, and homegrown Miami Gardens leader, I have spent my career solving problems, building organizations, and investing in people rather than making promises from the sidelines.

Professionally, I own a financial management firm where I help individuals and families plan for their futures. That experience has taught me how to manage budgets responsibly, evaluate long-term investments, and make decisions based on facts and fiscal discipline. Those same principles should guide city government. My leadership experience extends beyond business. For many years I led one of South Florida's largest youth football organizations, bringing together hundreds of families, volunteers, coaches, and community partners. That experience required strategic planning, conflict resolution, fundraising, volunteer management, and a commitment to creating safe, structured opportunities for young people. It reinforced the importance of accountability, teamwork, and building strong community partnerships.

The three most important issues facing Miami Gardens are protecting our neighborhoods, expanding economic opportunity, and investing in our youth. 1. Safe, Clean Neighborhoods Residents deserve neighborhoods that are safe, attractive, and well maintained. Illegal dumping, blight, poor lighting, speeding traffic, and inconsistent code enforcement reduce quality of life and property values. I will advocate for stronger code enforcement, improved street lighting, better traffic-calming measures, increased beautification efforts, and stronger partnerships between residents, law enforcement, and city departments. Every neighborhood should receive consistent attention and responsive city services. 2. Economic Opportunity and Protecting Homeowners Strong neighborhoods require strong local economies. We must support small businesses while protecting homeowners and preserving residential neighborhoods. With my background in finance and business ownership, I will support responsible economic development, encourage business investment, strengthen financial literacy initiatives, protect neighborhood zoning, and promote policies that help families build wealth while maintaining the character of our communities. 3. Investing in Youth and Families The future of Miami Gardens depends on the opportunities we provide today's young people. Positive activities, mentorship, education, and workforce development reduce crime while preparing the next generation for success.
