I’m a mom of two boys in the Oakridge feeder and a former Conroe ISD teacher. I am running because I want to get CISD back to what matters. I want to help move CISD past the political noise, rebuild trust with our community, and make sure every student, school, and community's voice is represented on the board of trustees.
With over fourteen years in public education, including teaching at CHS 9 and Grand Oaks High School, I understand the structure, funding, and complexities of public education. Developing online courses for SHSU expanded my experience in curriculum and online education. I bring a thoughtful, analytical perspective to balancing the needs of students, educators, families, and taxpayers.
Our greatest opportunities are student outcomes and teacher retention. The Board should support the plan through data, transparent accountability, and educator input. I would prioritize reviewing K-5 ELA curriculum using student data and reforming the educator curriculum cohort. I would also work to rebuild a district culture where educators feel respected, supported, and heard.
Teacher morale, retention, and compensation are pressing concerns. The Board must prioritize competitive teacher pay and benefits, ensure teachers have quality resources, training, and curriculum, and create meaningful opportunities for teacher input. Just as importantly, the Board must foster a culture of professional respect where teachers are heard, valued, and supported when raising concerns.
Funding will be one of the biggest challenges facing Conroe ISD. We must use every avenue available to advocate for adequate public education funding from Austin. When budgets are tight, we must scrutinize every expense, prioritize the classroom, and ensure taxpayer dollars have the greatest impact on students and their educational experience.
CISD provides students with a foundation in civics. The Board can strengthen this by encouraging students to attend and participate in Board meetings and creating meaningful opportunities for student voice. We should also model the civic values we expect students to learn: respectful dialogue, listening, transparency, and civil discourse.

As the parent of three CISD students and PTO volunteer, I am deeply invested in our community and the success of every child. I am running to support student achievement, retain experienced teachers, and strengthen district performance. Drawing on my business experience, I will advocate for efficient operations, sound financial stewardship, and greater transparency in district decision-making.
With a background in business, finance, and governance, I offer both professional expertise and long-standing involvement in CISD schools. I hold a BA in Sociology and an MBA from Rice University, and earned a directorship certification through the NACD. My experience includes leadership roles in operations, logistics, business development, market analysis, refinery scheduling, and oil trading.
CISD has not met several goals outlined in its latest strategic plan, including student achievement in the lower grades and teacher retention. The Board should prioritize investments that support and retain high-quality educators, reduce turnover, and foster a stable, experienced learning environment that maximizes student success.
Instructional resources should support, not replace, teacher expertise. Excessive scripting can limit educators’ ability to tailor lessons to student needs. The Board should rely on input from classroom professionals and promote flexible implementation that empowers teachers to adapt instruction while maintaining high academic standards.
Adequate funding is one of the district’s biggest challenges. As enrollment stabilizes, funding growth slows while mandates and costs continue to rise. I will advocate for increased state funding, support competitive teacher pay, and promote efficient operations, fiscal responsibility, and transparency to ensure resources are focused on student success.
CISD prepares students for civic participation by teaching civics, government, and U.S. history, helping them develop critical thinking skills and understand why participation matters. The Board can support these efforts by ensuring a strong civics curriculum, modeling respectful dialogue, and providing students with opportunities to engage in leadership, service, and real-world problem-solving.
