What are the most important goals for Wellesley to achieve over the next five years?

Relevant Experience PAWS, Sprague, WMS, WHS graduate; currently a WHS special ed teaching assistant; disability advocate
I believe Wellesley will become a stronger town when we continue to support our excellent schools in achieving more with our students. I believe we'll become a stronger town when we make thought-out developments in disability accessibility and affordable housing. And I believe the key to becoming a stronger town will be promoting civic engagement in municipal government among all town voters.
Relevant Experience Advisory Committee member 2022-2024; 2025 to present; Precinct E TMM 2021-2024; Friends of WFL Board
I believe that Wellesley's most important goals are: (1) sustaining excellent schools, (2) ensuring a community where neighbors continue to support each other and (3) developing a Town Wide Capital Plan that provides a thoughtful approach to planning and conservation efforts. I also want to encourage more people to become involved in our municipal government to make sure all town voices are heard.

Relevant Experience Member, Historical Commission; Chair, Advisory Committee; Vice-Chair, HR Board; Town Meeting Member
Wellesley is fortunate in being able to provide a welcoming environment and good quality of life for its many residents. As always, there are challenges ahead, including many worthy calls for spending and capital projects. The key is for everyone -- volunteers, staff, and residents -- to continue to work together to use our resources wisely and prudently to meet the most important needs for all.

Relevant Experience Current member of Select Board; former Advisory Committee member; active in schools and youth sports
We must strengthen our long-term financial health by prioritizing spending and major capital projects responsibly. Development decisions must preserve what makes Wellesley the town people chose to live in, including ensuring any MassBay project reflects our long-term interests. We should also strive to have the best public school system in the state, and pursue sustainability in a practical way.
Relevant Experience 12 year Wellesley resident, leader in multiple school-related volunteer orgs, finance background
It’s important to continue to address the housing needs of the greater area, but also the housing needs of residents as they age, while being mindful of the impact on the schools and quality of life for the overall community, as well as protecting our natural resources. We also need to continue the efforts to make Wellesley a more inclusive, welcoming community.
