Wyandotte County’s most pressing infrastructure needs include investments in public health, safe roads, walkable neighborhoods, and community-centered facilities that bring people together. We must develop high-quality neighborhoods where families thrive. These capital projects should be funded through responsible public-private partnerships, state and federal grants, and disciplined budgeting that grows revenue without raising taxes. I’ve negotiated with billion-dollar companies for better outcomes—now I’ll do the same for our county. With support from local unions and trusted relationships across Wyandotte and at the state level, I’ll deliver projects that serve real people and create lasting value.
To expand employment in Wyandotte County, we need targeted investments in workforce development, walkable commercial corridors, and support for small businesses. I’d push for policies that incentivize job creation through local hiring, expand access to job training—especially in healthcare and the trades—and repurpose underused properties for mixed-use development. Supporting union apprenticeships, expanding childcare access, and increasing public transit options will also help more residents enter and stay in the workforce. As a clinic owner who’s negotiated for better outcomes, I know how to advocate for smart investments—and I’ll work with local and state leaders to ensure that job growth reflects the needs and talents of our community.
Wyandotte County’s unified government structure offers one of its most effective elements: streamlined coordination across city and county services. As a physician, clinic owner, and public health advocate, I’ve seen how alignment across departments—especially health, safety, and infrastructure—can lead to faster, community-focused outcomes. When used with transparency and strategic leadership, consolidation allows for smarter budgeting and responsiveness. With bold leaders at the table, it’s possible to reduce duplication, improve accountability, and deliver measurable results. I believe we must harness this structure to ensure that government works efficiently for working families, seniors, and every resident—because our future depends on it.
