A career in business both at the corporate level and as a small business owner.
Property taxes should have some of the burden shifted from residential owners to major business. This can be done by charging no taxes on the first $100,000 of the appraisal value of single-family, owner-occupied homes and raising the assessment on commercial and industrial by 12%.
Healthcare needs to be more affordable and rural hospitals made solvent by approving Medicaid expansion.
Schools need to be fully funded, in part by legalizing marijuana and earmarking the taxes for schools.
I will design and maintain a website for constituent interaction. I will post at least weekly a summation of the actions in the Kansas House. The website will include a messaging link whereby you and others may send me input or questions. I will endeavor to answer any and all as time allows. I am asking for your support to be your representative. I cannot represent responsibly without knowing the thoughts and concerns of you and yours.
