The Kansas House of Representatives is the lower house of the legislature of the U.S. state of Kansas. Composed of 125 state representatives from districts with roughly equal populations of at least 19,000, its members are responsible for crafting and voting on legislation, helping to create a state budget, and legislative oversight over state agencies.

Notes
I want to serve ALL Kansans and stand up for what we value.
I have no political ambitions, but "we the people" are not being listened to, so I was compelled to step up. I am a public servant in the deepest sense. I listen to those who know how proposed laws will impact them. I reach out to businesses, professionals and community members equally, to develop a deep understanding of what is important to them. We must value every Kansan, from business professionals, to our children. I will never "fall in line" with a party, or leadership. If I know something is going to hurt Kansans I am not going to support it. We must build a Kansas where everyone can grow and flourish.
1) Property owners are frustrated with ever rising property taxes. Because property taxes are how communities fund many things, schools in particular - this is a challenging issue. How do we balance our taxation structures so homeowners are not alone in bearing the bulk of responsibility? Corporations must be held accountable to contribute their fair share. 2) Public education. The school vouchers will be stealing money from public education. A quality public education system, including special education must be fully funded, our children, all of our children, are our future. 3) Data Centers must slow down and regulations must be written. Drinkable water, affordable utilities, and our farmlands must be protected.
I have spent a lot of time over the last two years learning how to follow and read legislation. I think there are a lot of ways we could simplify access, but in order to do so, we also need more rules around how legislation is brought forward, and how it's handled in committee. All legislation should be treated equally in a transparent, democratic process. I intend to propose legislation to get rid of the "Gut and Go" altogether. The Senate and House leadership are allowed too much freedom, including how many (or few) days they actually work. The system is broken, it is not representing the will of the people. Leadership is playing power-tripping political games with our lives. This is not acceptable.
The only changes to Kansas election laws and voting systems I would support are: 1) those that ensure our elections cannot be tampered with by outside forces; and 2) those that would increase access to voting. It's difficult enough to engage qualified voters, let's make it easier, not more difficult! If you are a citizen, you have the right to vote!
