I'm a grant and technical writer, primarily working in rural development. I'm a former adjunct professor of Social Advocacy at the University of South Carolina. In my spare time, I've been a Democratic Party Organizer. I've also been active in my community, inventing a public speaker series, protesting a possible Smithfield pork plant, and running for hospital board.

I've been working in rural development and healthcare for the last 5 years. I've also been working as an organizer and power builder. I'm the only candidate in the race with a vision of the future for the region. I'm the only candidate who wants to lead the district, not outsource leadership to the people of the district.
1. Rural Healthcare - Expand Medicaid, make capital accessible for USDA community facilities loans, and healthcare workforce requirement.
2. Housing - mandate land banks and allow networks of hospitals and nursing homes in rural areas to use quality housing as a hiring incentive.
3. Property taxes - we need to lower rates, tax different things, tax the wealthy, and establish rural sovereign wealth funds.

Yes. Elections need to be publicly funded to prevent undo corporate interest. This also makes qualified candidates have a chance against more well funded corporate candidates.
