I am a Problem Solver - Consensus Builder - Business Leader with deep business and economic expertise. Our rural districts deserve experienced, practical leadership that knows how to create steady jobs, protect public education, and ensure our families have the resources they need to thrive.

Education: Next session the Legislature must re-write the school funding formula. I will use my business and leadership skills to make sure the rural school districts are well represented. Healthcare: Medicaid expansion is the only long-term viable funding mechanism for rural hospitals. I will continue to advocate for Medicaid expansion, rural doctor retention, and better use of remote technologies to bring healthier outcomes to the rural counties. Rural Investment: Rural counties, towns, and cities, are shrinking and declining. The Legislature must make it a priority to funnel more investment dollar to the rural counties. I will present proposals to insure needed funding is distributed more equitably beyond the five urban counties.

My District has six active print newspapers. I will work with them to ensure weekly updates during key legislative sessions. I will maintain an active Facebook and Website dedicated to citizen involvement. I will develop a text messaging system to inform all who opt-in of Legislative progress on bills affecting our District. Gut-and-go is undemocratic and denies citizens the opportunity to be heard. I will support lawmaker proposals to ban the practice. And via the above mesures, I will make sure my constituents are aware of any shenanigans in Legislature that deny their rights to be heard.

The voting systems we have now are good. Early voting, mail in ballots, bipartisan poll workers, and accountability at the local county clerk's office. I will work to make sure legislators do not erode these laws and practices.
