I am committed to serving my community and implementing change. With 20 years of experience as a social worker and a current doctoral student focusing on administrative leadership, I bring a unique blend of expertise and dedication to this role. My career has equipped me with a deep understanding of the challenges residents face, from economic disparities to access to essential resources. Additionally, my experience collaborating with diverse organizations, government agencies, and nonprofits has taught me the importance of building partnerships to achieve results.
I hope to strengthen community engagement by creating programs that empower residents and amplify their voices in decision-making processes. I will advocate for sustainable growth and promote economic development that benefits all of Oakwood. By leveraging my experience in social services, I plan to build partnerships, implement inclusive policies, and drive initiatives that improve the quality of life for every resident.
The passage of the school bond is an important development for our community, as it directly impacts funding for much needed school buildings. While this investment helps improve schools and resources for students, it also affects taxpayers, who want to ensure their money is being used wisely.
Balancing the benefits of the bond with fiscal responsibility is essential. Transparency in how funds are allocated, will help reassure residents that their contributions are making a meaningful impact. If elected to Oakwood Council, I would advocate for clear communication regarding tax implications and work to ensure that economic policies support both our education system and the financial wellbeing of the residents.
