CURRITUCK COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS AT-LARGE
Currituck County is governed by a seven-member Board of Commissioners, elected at-large in partisan, county-wide elections to serve staggered four-year terms. Five members must reside in specified districts, and two members are elected at-large. The Board elects a Chairman and Vice-Chairman at its December meeting. The Board sets the policy for the county, determining the strategic vision for the county, appoints a county manager, attorney and others to serve the county, adopts ordinances, including zoning, and establishes an annual budget, which includes setting the tax rate and calling bond referendums.

I was employed by NCDOT for 34 years in Currituck and worked closely with the county Commissioners and was involved in making decisions for the county.
I feel the most important issue is with the growth of the county is infrastructure. I feel this is a major problem.
I take education very serious. I feel the Commissioners need to take a serious approach on safety for the schools and staff and work closely with the school board to support teachers and recruit good teachers to come in our classrooms.
More support to local businesses and bring in new businesses
Accountability. Perform a more intense investigation on people receiving services and make sure that those that really need the services are getting the services and those that are mis using the services are held accountable for their actions.
I believe in accountability and honesty. I was a supervisor with NCDOT for14 years and I made sure that myself and every employee offered the best service to every citizen. I am now the chairman of the Currituck Kids and a board member of the Community Foundation and a 25 year Senoir Pastor of 2 churches and a community servant and strives to be the best I can be by serving others. My motto is it's not about the party it's about the people.
