Indiana U.S. House District 4

In an Indiana Primary you may choose either a Democratic Ballot OR a Republican Ballot. You may NOT vote in both Primaries.Each state elects state representatives to the U.S. House of Representatives based on population. Indiana has nine US House districts based on the redistricting of 2011. There are 13 counties within District 4. These representatives are elected for two year terms. The House is given specific powers through the US Constitution, Article I, Sections 8 and 9.The House is charged with the passage of federal legislation, known as bills, which, after concurrence by the Senate, are sent to the president for consideration. The House also has exclusive powers: it initiates all revenue bills, impeaches federal officers, and elects the president if no candidate receives a majority of electoral votes.In addition, the House and Senate, is known collectively as the Congress. Among other powers, declares war, regulates interstate and foreign commerce and controls taxing and spending policies. Term: 2 years

The federal governments role is to protect our rights to life, liberty and property and as the largest polluter in the world, the US federal government should stop.
Defund the federal bureaucratic agencies and return the money and authority to the states so they can be closer to the people and better manage the issues in their commuinities.
Shut down the border immediately and give autonomy to the border states to better manage the crisis.

We need to return to one day of voting, paper ballots, geographical precincts and clean voter rolls monthly. We should defund HAVA so that the federal government is not involved in state elections.
