I bring real-world experience, not a career in politics. I served in military intelligence, built a career in cybersecurity and IT engineering, and ran businesses where results, accountability, and budgets matter. I’m trained to analyze complex systems, identify root causes, and fix problems rather than manage decline. Washington suffers from groupthink and career incentives that reward failure. I bring independent thinking, technical competence, and a results-driven mindset focused on liberty, security, and fiscal responsibility.
My first priority would be restoring accountability to federal spending. Congress has no personal incentive to control costs, which is why debt and inflation keep rising. I would push for Congressional incentives to reduce spending. waste, and open-ended programs. Fiscal discipline is not abstract — it directly affects inflation, housing costs, healthcare, and the ability of families to plan their futures.
Americans are being crushed by inflation, high housing costs, and stagnant wages driven by reckless federal spending and over-regulation. I support reducing federal spending, simplifying the tax code, eliminating subsidies that distort markets, and rolling back regulations that raise costs without improving outcomes. A strong economy comes from productivity, competition, and opportunity; not government micromanagement. We should reward work, savings, and entrepreneurship, not debt and dependency.
Polarization thrives when politics becomes emotional theater instead of problem-solving. I focus on facts, incentives, and outcomes rather than labels. I will work with anyone willing to engage honestly and be held accountable to results. Clear rules, limited government, and objective standards reduce conflict because they remove favoritism and ambiguity. Effective government isn’t louder — it’s smaller, clearer, and focused on doing fewer things well. We also need to provide hopeful, positive messaging and support our law enforcement.
I support environmental stewardship that is practical, local, and grounded in cost-benefit analysis. Clean air and water matter, but mandates that raise energy costs and weaken reliability hurt working families without delivering real gains. Innovation, market incentives, and local solutions outperform federal one-size-fits-all rules. Environmental policy should improve outcomes without sacrificing energy independence, affordability, or economic growth.

Religious Freedom Restoration Act Two weeks ago, I sent letters to Senators Grassley, Lee, Lankford, Schmidt, and Hawley urging them to co-sponsor a Day One amendment protecting houses of worship during national emergencies. What happened during COVID—when liquor stores stayed open while churches were shuttered—must NEVER happen again. Government has no authority to declare faith "non-essential."
I have started a conversation with President Trump and Dr. Navarro our US Trade Representative to grant North Carolina famers a tariff exemption for our agricultural goods like poultry, pork and produce. I see North Carolina families struggling. I see mothers doing math at the grocery store, choosing between milk and medicine. I see fathers filling up their trucks and watching their paychecks drain away. I see families working harder than ever and falling further behind.
The changes I would make center on what I call "Groceries & Gas We Can Afford"—a comprehensive plan to drive down the costs worrying working families. This includes extending tax deductions for grocery store energy efficiency.
Every American family balances their checkbook. Our federal government should do the same.
Today, Congress appropriates money through one set of books while agencies spend through another. The result: failed audits, billions unaccounted for, and taxpayers left in the dark.
Blockchain technology offers the solution—a single, immutable ledger where every appropriation and expenditure is recorded, traceable, and visible in real time. No more conflicting figures. No more accounting shell games. One ledger. One truth.

I have initiated a 2027 North Carolina BIOTECH Trade Mission to London, Berlin and Tokyo with the leaders of their health science market places. A Biotech Trade Mission to Expand NC Exports of North Carolina's Research Triangle is essential. NC is a global biotech leader, yet we're leaving billions on the table. I will lead trade missions to the United Kingdom, Germany, and Japan to expand market access for North Carolina's $111 billion agricultural and life sciences sectors—creating jobs and prosperity across our state.
I will specifically emphasize the existing manufacturing hubs in our mountain regions to DOUBLE output capacity and TRIPLE market opportunities for them. Increased market demand will mean expanding investment in the mountain regions long term stability and resilience as other crisis may arise. A Senator Johnson will mean big picture vision and the grit to make it happen for all our sectors, regions and citizens of North Carolina!

My experience as a nurse, educator, missionary, foster parent and legislative liaison will bring a depth of insight to my role as Senator that few can match. For eleven years, I have been serving the people of NC by standing up for their rights. I have attended and spoken at countless board meetings, committee hearings, public rallies, debates and press conferences with the purpose of protecting our families, our freedoms and our future. I have crafted bills, worked with elected officials and helped to pass legislation. I have reasoned and debated with people with vast differences of opinion and been very successful at finding common ground and diffusing tensions. I have traveled the state, listening to needs and helping to solve problems.
As your Senator, I will work to disclose how every dollar of your tax money is being spent and hold accountable the companies, agencies and individuals who have been stealing your money. We must return taxpayer money to Americans. The fraud, waste and abuse perpetrated by our government is destroying the middle class and keeping the American Dream out of reach of our young people. As your Senator, I will not allow our government to ask you for another dime until they give an accounting for their reckless spending. I will put more money in your pocket.
As your Senator, I will propose an end to property taxes, death taxes and inheritance taxes. I will work to remove illegal aliens that are overwhelming our systems and place American needs first. I will make NC a pilot program for dual enrollment and trade classes for every district from 8th-12 grade. As we improve the education of our children, we will attract new businesses that will hire our own NC citizens and stop allowing companies to bring 70% of their workforce from other states. We must protect opportunities for our NC children and stop taking from hardworking families to give to illegal aliens and foreign entities. I will also suggest legislation that creates a minor monthly premium ($10-20) for every person receiving Medicaid.
When I am your Senator, I will host bimonthly, virtual Town Halls to hear what your needs are from our federal government and to keep you updated on the workings in Congress. I intend to have 14 Regional Centers where citizens can have their concerns heard and their issues addressed. I will continue to be connected, responsive and accountable to NC neighbors and will consider how to improve your quality of life with every decision I make in DC.
Clean water must be of highest priority. There is no excuse why our government allows corporations to pollute our water and soil. I would work to remove contaminants from our air, water and food and hold accountable the large corporations that have been poisoning our food/water supply for decades.
Being chosen to represent you and your families is a great honor and responsibility. My record of civil service and dedication to the people of NC points to my steadfastness and understanding of how to put others first. The great people of NC deserve a representative in Washington who will put your quality of life and your needs before all else. I have spent over a decade serving the families of NC, without a title.
