I bring a combination of real-world management experience, constitutional principles, and community advocacy to this office. I have worked in professional roles that required budgeting oversight, contract accountability, and responsible decision-making. I currently work in government contract security, where compliance, transparency, and oversight are essential. As a longtime activist and organization founder, I have experience leading teams, engaging the public, and holding institutions accountable. I believe county government should be limited, transparent, fiscally responsible, and focused on serving residents, not special interests.
The most important issue facing the County Commission is restoring fiscal discipline and accountability while maintaining essential services. Rising costs, growing government complexity, and long-term obligations require careful budgeting, transparency, and oversight of contracts and spending. The county must ensure taxpayer dollars are used efficiently and that decisions are made locally, not driven by outside pressure or bureaucracy. Protecting public safety while respecting constitutional rights and keeping government responsive to residents will be critical over the next two years.
The County Commission’s most effective role in improving local schools is responsible oversight of funding, facilities, and accountability. Commissioners must ensure taxpayer dollars are used efficiently, prioritize safe and well-maintained school buildings, and demand transparency in how funds are spent. I support focusing resources on core academics, classroom support, and infrastructure rather than administrative bloat. The county should work collaboratively with the school board while respecting its authority, keeping decisions local, and ensuring parents and taxpayers have a clear voice in how education dollars are allocated.
To improve the county economy, I will support policies that encourage local business growth, responsible development, and workforce stability. This includes keeping taxes and fees reasonable, reducing unnecessary regulations, and ensuring fair, transparent permitting processes. I support smart infrastructure investments that attract employers while protecting taxpayers from wasteful spending. The county should prioritize supporting small businesses, strengthening partnerships with local employers, and ensuring economic decisions are made locally with accountability, not driven by special interests or outside mandates.
Improving social services requires accountability, coordination, and focusing resources where they are most effective. I would support regular audits and performance reviews to ensure services actually help residents in need. The county should strengthen partnerships with local nonprofits, faith-based organizations, and community groups that already deliver effective support. I support prioritizing core services such as public health, senior assistance, and family support while avoiding duplication, waste, and unnecessary bureaucracy. Social services should be compassionate, efficient, locally driven, and respectful of both taxpayers and the people they serve.
My approach to county government is simple: protect taxpayers, uphold the Constitution, and keep decisions local and accountable. Alamance County does not need bigger government or political theater. It needs responsible leadership that focuses on budgeting discipline, public safety, infrastructure, and transparency. I believe the County Commission should serve residents, not special interests or outside agendas. I support law enforcement and first responders, fiscal responsibility, and common-sense policies that respect individual rights. I am running to represent both Republican and unaffiliated voters who want practical solutions, honest oversight, and a county government that works for the people who live, work, and raise families here.
