I have worked in the Community for over 30 years as an advocate for those that in disparities and have felt they have no voice From working with those in Subsidized Housing and also setting budgets for properties I mange. Also being mediator between community and law enforcement. I am Outreach Pastor for 36 years that has worked with those with addictions and Mental health issues. Working with youth through tutoring and mentoring. Much was done without funding and was done free to those in the community. I attended Liberty University for Evangelism and a Minor in Religion. I have received a number of awards WFMY for those who Care. Pro Term Mayor Community Advocate, Community Advocate from the Police department just to name a few.
Allotment of funding. prioritizing what should be considered first according to the needs of the residents in the County. Homelessness and using monies to get facilities that will address the needs of the homeless community. And Monies for our Children assuring all children no matter race, gender or financial status get a good education Making sure monies are allotted to teachers that they are able to teach our children and still be able to support their families. Making sure also schools are being properly maintained for maintenance issues. This is to assure a safe environment for our children to learn.
The most important thing is to make sure they budget is adequately funded to assure there is money to pay teachers and also fund the programs in the school for children with specials needs etc. And food program to assure those children that may not be receiving proper meals will not be hungry and not be able to concentrate. The policies would be to make sure routine maintenance is done and monitor. Meeting with those on school boards to monitor progress of the children growth and them having a game plan how to resolve the issues. placing emphasis on those things that need more attention and finding ways to fix that problem. Also bring in those parents to keep them aware of the of child's progress
Listening sessions that are more than the 3 minutes given at meetings, also a budget that projects the needs of the residents and is inviting to investors from bigger corporation that pay higher wages. Those that will boost the economy in our County. cut wasteful spending that causes higher taxes to make up for monies that were spent recklessly. Have those on the board to go into the community to have a chance to see firsthand what is actually going on in the community and talk to the residents, the retired, the homeless, the working class. going where they are to see what their concerns are. to see what needs to change. Also allowing the taxpayers a chance to vote on things that will affect their property and their income.
First visiting those infrastructures that can be preserved and finding a way to utilize them for affordable housing. preserving our County and the Good History that will make in welcoming. Getting rid of the phrase other county's saying no chance Alamance. Making sure the areas of the Counties all get the same consideration of upgrade and care. Give those that come to visit a since of home because they see Good Government and those able to work not for a party but for the people. We must see the needs of all residents and treat all equally and fair. We must monitor this by allowing voices at the table that don't look like us but have just as much vested here.
Being a County Commissioner is not about holding a seat or being a politician but being a voice for the people that felt they have none. Also, many have lost faith in those they have elected to do what is right not to be swayed when they know what they have promised the people when they voted for them. This is not an election about me but Us and making sure the people are Heard. That Our children after finishing school have a community, they want to return to help it to flourish. They need to see a community that is thriving and welcoming to others. Through progress and not digress.

A United States Air Force Veteran, Sean served in the Active Duty Air Force from 1999-2005 and in the Air National Guard from 2005 to 2014. While in the Air National Guard and attending college for Electrical and Computer Engineering, he founded several Race Teams and even set a Land Speed Record!

Elected in 2019 to Mebane City Council, Sean pledged to be a common-sense, bipartisan leader. He has delivered on that promise with bringing new ideas and new opportunities to Alamance County, including a Development Grant program for Historic Downtown Mebane and new jobs at United Parcel Service (UPS) as well as Lotus Bakeries (world famous for making Biscoff cookies).

Every year we fight for crumbs in order to fund our schools. I look to be a 2nd Vote to support our schools and fully fund the Alamance-Burlington School System per the Leandro decision

Furthermore, defunding our libraries has been a regular discussion with Commissioners. This is unacceptable and frankly, both sides of the aisle do not support this mindset. Our libraries must be protect since they are a community hub.
We had multiple conversation with School Board members, they are literally looking for allies to join them during school walks and understand the difficulties they have in doing their job.

We are ready to be that ally!
✅ Support our Rescue services, EMS, and law enforcement ✅ Protect libraries as community hubs ✅ Fund strong schools that prepare our kids for success ✅ Create a countywide business environment where local companies can grow ✅ Build partnerships between the County and cities instead of passing burdens onto them ✅ Expand the tax base through smart growth, not raise taxes on hardworking families
Deep dive, visit, and understand what is going on in each department so we can support the departments while also looking for opportunities in efficiencies.

Right now is an amazing time to lean into technology and streamline departments to provide a better service for our residents of Alamance County
I’m not running to point fingers. I’m running to work with the other Commissioners to move us forward together. I believe Alamance County is at a crossroads. We can either keep doing business the old way… or we can plan, grow, and invest in people the smart way. I choose the future, and I choose a County that protects its people, supports its businesses, and lifts every community.

And I’m ready to fight for it because Alamance County’s best days are ahead.
