I am a devoted father, husband, and public servant. I grew up working in our small family business in New York and Vance County, where I saw firsthand how crime can impact not only a community, but the families and victims at the center of it. Those experiences inspired me to attend law school and pursue a career in public service.
I served for more than five years as an Assistant District Attorney in Wake County and as a Statewide DWI Prosecutor. I then spent five years in private practice representing clients in Wake and Vance counties. For the past five years, I have been honored to serve as a Wake County District Court Judge, working every day to uphold the rule of law and protect our community.
While judicial races are partisan, the work of a judge is not. All judges take the same oath and must remain fair and impartial while upholding the Constitution and the rule of law.
In District Court, judges hear criminal, civil, and family law cases. We don’t advocate for either side or decide cases based on personal beliefs. We evaluate the evidence, determine the facts, and apply the law as written.
This protects due process, ensures accountability, and keeps our community safe while treating everyone who comes before the court with dignity and respect.
For the past five years, I’ve worked every day to live up to that oath as a proven and trusted judge.
I bring fifteen years of combined local courtroom experience. As a prosecutor and private attorney, I practiced in over 30 counties across the State of North Carolina with over 1500 bench trials and over 50 jury trials.
As a Wake County Judge for the past 5 years, I have served in virtually every courtroom in both courthouses, taught legal updates, and presided over thousands of cases including bench trials and jury trials.
On Tuesday January 27, 2026, my opponent Mr. Daniel Wright "withdrew" and officially endorsed my candidacy. While his name remains on the ballot, I'm grateful for his support and unity behind my campaign.

In addition to being an attorney, I am also a police officer. This is rather unique and would bring a viewpoint that I believe is currently absent (but necessary) on the district court bench.
I am a conservative Republican. While this worldview would certainly have a part in my decisions as a judge, being a father, husband, homeowner, Christian, son, brother, Yankees fan, guitar player, police officer, whiskey lover, and former kid who got in trouble a lot, among 43 years of other life experiences, would also shape my decisions. My political party does not define my identity.
I deal with family law, criminal law, and juvenile justice issues in a court room like any other attorney would; however, as a police officer I see what happens outside the court room. This is where my perspective is important. I'm not saying I have all the answers, but I've seen first hand what doesn't work in these types of cases.
