Position/philosophy statement I believe education is where it all starts. Without equality and equity in school choice we ruin our future and ignore our founding fathers’ principles for a great nation. Because education matters!

I believe I represent those with unheard voices! As a minority and a female I want a seat at the table to help make decisions for everyone represented in our communities.
I feel we need NC to start green initiatives to build a better future that is sustainable for our children.
In order to have school choice, we need every member of our communities to have a viable option. Without public schools we eliminate options for those less fortunate and that inequality is unacceptable!
Taxes are inevitable, but they need to be both reasonable and used properly. Budgets need to address and reevaluated to make proper use of our taxes to truly benefit our communities.
Going green helps make our communities safe and sustainable. Small steps in the right direction will improve our overall health and allow spaces to last for generations to come.
Thank you! Voting is your right!
Position/philosophy statement Government works best when it is practical, fiscally responsible, and results-oriented. Since my election in 2024, I've worked solve the real problems facing residents in northern Wake County.

As a Marine Corps veteran and attorney, I bring a mission-first, detail-oriented approach to the General Assembly. In my first term, I stopped the effort to toll Capital Blvd, and I worked with the Department of Transportation to accelerate the project without tolls. I sponsored legislation to raise public school teacher pay by an average of 22%. I spearheaded a bipartisan bill to keep drunk drivers off our roads, and I am working to curb rising property taxes that are squeezing families, retirees, and first-time homebuyers.
My priority is ensuring our growth remains sustainable and affordable. Northern Wake County is a premier place to live, but we are facing growing pains that squeeze family budgets. I am focused on reducing the cost of living by capping property tax revaluation spikes and increasing the supply of attainable housing through market-based reforms. We must also ensure our infrastructure is ready for the next decade of new residents. And to keep our region safe and prosperous, we must provide our law enforcement and courts with the specific tools and mental health resources they need to close legal loopholes that allow dangerous offenders to remain on our streets.
Student outcomes are my north star, and the single most important factor in a child’s success is a high-quality educator. I am committed to making North Carolina the best state in the country to be a teacher. We need to bolster our teacher workforce pipeline, improve compensation starting with the 22% pay raise that I sponsored, and expand innovations like advanced teacher roles to every district in the state.
Our tax and regulatory environment is a key pillar of why North Carolina is ranked the best state for business and for workforce development, and why northern Wake County is home to one of the best suburbs in the country to move to and raise a family. We have to make sure we're investing in the infrastructure that makes it all possible while working to keep more of your money in your pocket. I'm currently working with Wake County to secure more revenue for our region to invest in projects without raising taxes on the people who live and work here.
Safety is a technical challenge, not just a slogan. I have focused on closing dangerous gaps in our justice system. This includes my work to crack down on "super speeders" and repeat drunk drivers. Most critically, the tragic murder of Zoe Welsh revealed a gap where individuals found incompetent to stand trial are released back into the community without the mental health supervision or involuntary commitment they clearly need. I working with my legislative colleagues to expand and fund the tools available to our courts to ensure that individuals in this "gap" receive the necessary secure treatment instead of being released. Public safety requires a system that prioritizes the victim and holds the offender accountable.
It has been an honor to serve as your State Representative this past year. We have made tremendous strides forward on the Capital Boulevard project while successfully fighting against tolls, and I have pushed hard to ensure our teachers receive the pay increases they deserve. My focus has remained on making our communities safer and more prosperous for every family. I am grateful to have been recognized as a "Top 5" legislator by the NC Free Enterprise Foundation, a "Jobs Champion" by the NC Chamber, and a Legislator of the Year by the NC Alliance for Safe Transportation for these efforts. However, the most important recognition I can receive is your vote. I would be honored to continue this work on behalf of our community for another two years.
