US HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES DISTRICT 03

Each state receives representation in the US House of Representatives in proportion to the size of its population but is entitled to at least one representative. There are currently 435 representatives, a number fixed by law since 1911. Starting in 2024, NC has 14 members of the US House; the NC State Legislature changed the district boundaries in October, 2025. As a lifelong resident of Eastern North Carolina, I understand this region because I’ve lived its challenges and worked to solve them. I’m a combat veteran who knows the value of service and accountability. I’ve served as an educator and on the Wayne County Board of Education, where I fought for students and families, and as a State Representative for Wayne and Sampson Counties, delivering results on education, health care, and infrastructure. That combination of local roots, real-world experience, and proven leadership prepares me to be a voice for Eastern NC effectively in Congress.
In my first year, my top priority would be lowering costs and expanding access to affordable health care and good-paying jobs in Eastern North Carolina. I would work to protect and expand affordable coverage, reduce prescription drug prices, and bring federal investments to our region for workforce training, much-needed infrastructure, and rural economic development. Families who work hard should be able to afford things they need, build a future, and stay in the community they love.
My top priority is lowering costs, expanding access to affordable health care, and bringing good-paying jobs to Eastern North Carolina. Families here work hard and should be able to afford groceries, housing, and prescriptions without sacrificing the basics. In Congress, I’ll fight to reduce prescription drug prices, protect affordable coverage, invest in workforce training and infrastructure, and support small businesses that create local jobs. In the richest country on Earth, no one should have to choose between filling a prescription and putting food on the table. We need leaders who fight for working people, not just use them as political pawns.
I’ve spent my career working in environments where collaboration wasn’t optional — it was required to get the job done. As an educator, I brought together students, parents, and staff with different perspectives. On the school board, I worked across differences to address overcrowded classrooms and improve outcomes for kids. As a combat veteran, I’ve seen first-hand how teamwork saves lives. In Congress, I’ll apply those life lessons by listening first, focusing on the facts, and building coalitions around practical solutions. I’ll fight to increase trust through transparency, rejecting back room deals and special interest influence, and always hold my colleagues accountable.
In Congress, I’ll prioritize environmental policies that protect our communities while strengthening our economy, starting with flood resilience here in Eastern North Carolina. As flooding becomes more frequent, we need strategic federal investments in flood mitigation, stormwater infrastructure, and disaster preparedness to protect homes, farms, and small businesses. Additionally, I will also fight to protect clean air and safe drinking water, because public health and environmental protection go hand in hand. We can safeguard our natural resources, support farmers and coastal communities, and create jobs by making these investments.
Eastern North Carolina deserves leadership that understands our communities and is focused on results, not political games in Washington. I’ve spent my life serving my community, and bringing people together to solve hard problems. In Congress, I will fight to lower costs, protect access to affordable health care, support our veterans and rural communities, and deliver federal investments that help our region grow. I believe our government works best when it listens, respects the Constitution, and puts working people first. My commitment to the people is to always show up, work hard, and deliver for the people I’m honored to serve. The people of Eastern NC deserve nothing less.
