As a entrepreneur with six primary businesses I know what it takes to sign the front of a paycheck. This has taught me the importance of a budget and the impact not having one creates. Also having served as a commissioner for 16 years and never once having voted for a tax increase, I believe speaks volumes about my conservative nature. During that time, I learned how to get things done even when the other side was against it.
Affordability for the people of the first district.
Eastern NC needs more and better paying jobs for the people of the first district. They need to be left alone by government to prosper and achieve their dreams. Far too often government gets in the way and stimies peoples rights. As a constitutional conservative I will fight tirelessly to ensure government is put in its place and life becomes affordable once again. The struggle is real for Americans looking to provide for their families, with inflation retreating to 3.7% this has started to give people a break, but more is needed to be done. With congress holding the purse strings we need people who understand business and money and how to develop a budget and implement it.
Again, as a commissioner for 16 years and elected Vice Chair on a Democratic board I had to learn how to work with the other side. It’s not always easy but I took the approach of honesty and straightforwardness. IE, "You might not like what I am saying but I truly believe you will appreciate the honesty."
In 2026, we are focused on one thing: Energy Dominance. We are ending the era of energy weakness and the "Green New Scam" that has been a disaster for this country. Here is what we are prioritizing to make America affordable and powerful again

I grew up in North Carolina with very little and built my career through hard work, faith, and discipline. I am an award-winning attorney, small business owner, and founder of northeastern North Carolina’s first Collaborative Family Law firm. I have helped families navigate crisis, balance budgets, solve disputes, and move forward with practical solutions. I understand how laws affect real people, not just headlines. My background in law, business, and advocacy gives me the skills to write policy, hold government accountable, and deliver results for North Carolina families.
My top priority in my first year will be securing the border and restoring the rule of law. A nation without borders is not a nation. I will fight to fully fund border enforcement, finish physical barriers where needed, and close loopholes that encourage illegal crossings. Border security is not just about immigration, it is about national security, public safety, human trafficking, and protecting American workers. Everything else becomes harder when our laws are not enforced.
I will fight for an America First economy that rewards hard work. That means lowering taxes, cutting job-killing regulations, restoring energy independence, and bringing manufacturing back home. I will support small businesses, expand opportunity for working families, and rein in reckless spending that fuels inflation. I believe Americans should be able to build wealth, own homes, and raise families without government standing in their way. Economic freedom is the foundation of personal freedom.
I will focus on results, not noise. I will listen to my constituents, not special interests. I believe Americans are tired of performative politics and want leaders who show up, do the work, and tell the truth. Strong leadership is not about shouting louder, it is about solving problems, enforcing the law, and keeping promises.
I believe in responsible conservation that protects our land, water, and communities without crushing families and businesses. I will support clean water, land preservation, coastal protection, forest management, and disaster resilience. I reject radical mandates that destroy jobs and raise energy costs. America can be both clean and strong. Energy independence, innovation, and stewardship can coexist. I will always put people first while protecting the natural beauty of North Carolina.
