I bring a combination of law enforcement experience, leadership, and deep commitment to public service that prepares me to serve as Sheriff from day one. I have firsthand experience working in patrol and investigations, understanding both the challenges deputies face and the expectations of the community we serve. Throughout my career, I’ve emphasized integrity, accountability, and fair enforcement of the law. I have experience managing personnel, budgets, and resources responsibly, while building strong partnerships with local agencies and community organizations. Most importantly, I believe the Sheriff’s Office must balance public safety with trust, transparency, and respect for all citizens. My experience and values position me to lead a
One of the most important and challenging issues facing the Sheriff’s Office today is building and maintaining trust with every part of our community while effectively ensuring public safety. Our community is diverse, and expectations around law enforcement are evolving. People want to feel protected and respected, and that requires transparency, accountability, and open communication. At the same time, the Sheriff’s Office must address rising demands on resources—from responding to mental health crises, to managing jail populations, to combating substance misuse and violent crime. Balancing these responsibilities with limited staffing and budget pressures is a real challenge. I believe we must meet these challenges by strengthening comm.
I will take a firm, proactive approach to public safety. That starts with putting School Resource Officers in our schools to protect our children and stop threats before they escalate. Our kids deserve safe learning environments, and that means trained deputies on campus who are there to deter violence and respond immediately when needed. At the same time, I will aggressively shut down drug activity in this county. Drug dealers and traffickers will not be tolerated. I will strengthen drug enforcement operations, target repeat offenders, and work closely with state and federal partners to dismantle drug networks. My focus is simple: protect our children, take back our neighborhoods, and hold criminals accountable.
Additional funding would allow the Sheriff’s Department to strengthen core public safety services that are already stretched thin. More resources are needed for patrol staffing and response times, so deputies can be visible in our neighborhoods and respond quickly when citizens need help. Funding would also improve jail operations, training, and equipment, ensuring deputies have the tools they need to do their jobs safely and professionally. Increased investment in drug enforcement and school safety programs would allow us to expand proactive operations instead of simply reacting to crime. Every additional dollar should go toward putting well-trained deputies on the street, protecting our schools, and keeping our community safe.
My priority is public safety and reducing repeat crime. Anyone released from jail must be held accountable while being given a clear path to follow the law. I will push for strict reentry supervision, mandatory participation in work, treatment, or training programs, and close coordination with probation and parole. Those who want to change will have access to job placement and substance abuse treatment, but those who violate conditions or return to criminal behavior will be dealt with quickly. This approach is not about excuses it’s about discipline, responsibility, and breaking the cycle of repeat offenders to keep our community safer.
Randolph County has grown to more than 149,000 people, yet we’re still using an outdated patrol system designed for a much smaller population. My campaign is centered on fully restructuring patrol coverage so deputies are visible in neighborhoods and schools, fixing staffing shortages, and restoring accountability.
My platform includes a transparent audit of the $36 million Sheriff’s Office budget, redirecting wasteful spending back into deputy pay and frontline services, expanding School Resource Officer coverage, targeting drug dealers instead of just users, reopening cold cases, and improving communication with citizens and victims’ families.
I believe law enforcement should serve everyone equally, regardless of politics or donations. Taxpayers deserve real patrols, real visibility, and real results.
