What do you feel are the most important duties of the County Comptroller, and how would you execute them to the benefit of Suffolk residents?
What would you recommend to achieve more transparency in the Comptroller’s office, and how would you communicate any such changes to Suffolk County residents?
Like the Suffolk County Sheriff, District Attorney, and Clerk, the Suffolk County Comptroller is elected directly by the voters and thus should be independent of the County Executive. How would you ensure the Comptroller’s Office operates separately from the County Executive and Legislature?
How does the SC Comptroller work with the NYS Comptroller? Are there ways to improve or better utilize this relationship?
