I have a masters degree in Mathematics. I have worked as an actuary, done product development, compliance, filing in more than 20 s tates, and been in charge of government relations. Finishing up my corporate career as an executive before continuing my consulting career.
To educate the public, we would upgrade the current initiatives at the OID and focus on local participation events rather than just web based approaches. To protect Oklahomans we need to educate the consumer and strengthen the OID's complaint/consumer protection division. I plan on making that a stand alone area that reports directly to the First Deputy and Commissioner to insulate it from politics and give it one mission to ensure that consumers of Oklahoma have an advocate they can depend on.
Affordability and accountability. Consumers need to be able to afford the insurance they are required to buy and when they have they need to have faith that if a claim occurs they will get fair and acceptable claims service.

Protecting consumers starts with education. As Insurance Commissioner, I will make insurance easier to understand by providing clear, plain-language resources on coverages, deductibles, exclusions, and claims so Oklahomans can make informed decisions before they ever need to file a claim. I will increase transparency by giving consumers better information about insurers' performance and complaint trends, not just price. When companies violate the law or unfairly delay claims, the Department will act swiftly to hold them accountable. By combining consumer education, transparency, accountability, and modern technology, we can help Oklahomans make smarter insurance decisions and strengthen confidence in our insurance marketplace.
The greatest challenge facing the Insurance Department is balancing strong consumer protection with a healthy, competitive insurance market. My priorities will be improving affordability and availability of coverage, ensuring claims are handled fairly and promptly, modernizing the Department through technology to better serve consumers, strengthening cybersecurity and fraud prevention, and recruiting and retaining a highly skilled workforce. The Department should be proactive, transparent, and responsive—protecting policyholders while fostering a regulatory environment that encourages insurers to compete and invest in Oklahoma.
