My candidacy is unique in that I have experience working on both sides of our criminal justice system. I began my career as an Assistant District Attorney in Tompkins County where I prosecuted every level of criminal offenses and took several cases to trial. I then spent several years working as a criminal defense attorney in Syracuse, taking several cases to trial on that side of the aisle. Additionally, I have 13 years of judicial experience as an Administrative Law Judge for New York State. In other words, I have seen the system from every perspective and will bring balanced experience to County Court. I also work as an Adjunct Professor at the Syracuse University College of Law and have coached trial advocacy teams for over 20 years. In my free time, I help run a youth soccer league where I also coach. I also serve as the president of the board of directors for Huntington Family Centers on the near-west side of Syracuse.
