Onondaga County is preparing for historic growth, and the decisions we make today will affect our residents, families and taxpayers for decades to come.

With major investments in infrastructure and public safety ahead, we need to make thoughtful, responsible decisions that balance the needs of our growing community with the impact on taxpayers. I will carefully examine the options before the County and support solutions that strengthen public safety, plan for the future and make financial sense for the people who live here.

I will also prioritize our sewer and wastewater infrastructure. It may not be glamorous, but it is essential. When these systems fail, they can quickly become public-health and quality-of-life issues. As our communities grow and new development comes to Onondaga County, we must make sure the infrastructure beneath that growth can support our residents and businesses for the long haul.

Just as important, I will never lose sight of the people behind these decisions
“Transparency means residents should know what is being considered before a vote, how I voted afterward, and why.

County agendas, committee documents, minutes and livestreams are public, but most residents do not have time to follow every meeting. I plan to use social media to regularly explain major proposals and decisions affecting District 11 in plain language.

My email and cell phone number will be publicly available, and I intend to return every constituent call. I will listen before major decisions, ask questions publicly, and explain my votes — including when an issue is complicated or people disagree.

Accountability is not simply making records available. It means making government easier to understand, cutting through red tape, and ensuring county government is accessible and responsive to the people it serves.”
