Affordability and housing remain at the top of concerns for residents. My priorities in these sectors include finding and promoting solutions for current residents to age in the homes they have and to ensure new housing meets similar continuity and accessibility goals. I anticipate improving affordability will involve actions such as zoning changes and expanding the workforce. Slow change will be the most sustainable, and we ask for constituents' patience while we work toward lasting results. Many investments will need to be made as the area develops along with Micron. Partnering with them to take pressure off of constituent tax investment is of utmost interest to me.
I try to be as responsive and open as I am able, and I will readily converse with people when they reach out to me. I also have a strong interest in accurate messaging to constituents online.

The challenges are safer neighborhoods, responsible development, affordable housing and a strong local economy. Families, seniors, and young people need more options to buy or rent quality housing without being priced out of the communities they call home. We should support rehabilitation of aging homes and responsible development that fits each community. We also need to plan for growth. Roads, sewers, water, public safety, and emergency services must keep up, and taxpayers should not be left paying for projects that mainly benefit private developers. I will fight for transparent budgets, careful oversight of incentives, and responsible spending. Economic development must create real opportunities for local workers, small businesses, and families. I will bring a practical small-business perspective to the Legislature: ask tough questions, protect taxpayer dollars, and focus on results.
I believe public service requires openness, honesty, and follow-through. Constituents should never have to wonder how decisions are being made, where their tax dollars are going, or whether their concerns are being heard. I will communicate regularly through direct outreach as I always have. I will make myself accessible by giving out my personal phone number, explaining my votes in plain language, and providing clear updates. Accountability also means doing the homework before making decisions. I will ask questions, review the facts, listen to residents, and consider short-term and long-term consequences. Most importantly, I will treat every resident with respect—even when we disagree. My job is to listen to everyone and make decisions based on what best serves the community.
