We have a challenge with affordability in Onondaga County and across the nation. We are at cusp of economic growth driven by the Micron development but need to make sure it is done in a way that benefits our entire county and is a means to lift up our community. We need to ensure the infrastructure in the county can sustain the growth we expect to see and to support needs of our community into the future.
I believe in reaching out to the groups that are impacted by potential issues in front of the legislature and gathering the feedback of those who are closest to the challenge. As an elected official you cannot expect to know everything, you need to rely on those close to the issue to advise on the realities that exist today. Equally you need to keep open and regular dialogue with your community and if elected will have regular town halls in public places in the community to get the feedback and answer the questions of the people of district.
