The increasing inequities being forced on citizens. The diversion of taxpayer revenue to corporate interests, increasing economic hardships, wage stagnation, refusing to fund public education, refusing to fund healthcare, unaffordable housing, etc. The supermajority at the capitol is not working to secure the foundation for citizens to acquire “life, liberty & the pursuit of happiness”. I am tired of the disregard to enforce the Oklahoma state Constitution and the unexplained promises to support corporate interests with tax revenue, over the needs of the citizens.
Fully fund public education and substantially reduce or completely the eliminate the cost of post-secondary educations. Raise minimum wage laws & repeal laws the restrict wage caps. Repeal laws that inhibit personal autonomy. Remove wage inequities & create a sustainable living wage. Create free child care opportunities. Expand healthcare for all citizens. Reduce the costs and inequities of non-healthcare insurance policies. Expand and invest in sustainable, non-traditional employment and business opportunities. Invest in rural living options. Invest more in tourism, state & local parks, the arts, music, and walk-able and low cost entertainment options.
Immediately repeal the Parental Choice Tax Credit program. Eliminate the disbursal of tax revenue to organizations that spend more money on their administrators, than they do on ensuring graduation requirements for their students. Investigate, audit and enforce or repeal all previous legislative actions that were designed and intended to fund education.
Change the “corporations first” attitude at the Capitol to “citizens first”. Create new legislation to raise taxes on the wealthy. Enforce tax laws and remove loopholes on delinquent wealthy tax payers. Retain more revenue, paid by Oklahomans, from going out of state to corporate and foreign investors. Cut subsidizing underperforming entities that fail to create returns. Use tax payer funds to invest in social services and safety nets so citizens can maintain their basic life needs. Investing tax revenue in tax payers creates better tax payers. Eliminate or heavily reduce corporate involvement and lobbying in state government. Invest in renewable energy projects to reduce the use of fossil fuels to create more energy independence, employment opportunities, climate protections and cost savings. By investing in citizens, we invest in the state. When we invest in the state, businesses will invest in Oklahoma. When must stop investing in the present system of failure.
