My 24 years of military and 18 years of civil service, provide me with extensive leadership and public-service experience. My career has taught me discipline, accountability, teamwork, and how to make responsible decisions under pressure. I understand alderman work for the people of our community and the importance of responsible budgeting, transparent decision-making, and collaboration. I'm fully prepared to represent residents fairly and effectively while helping move our community forward.
Two main issues facing our community is growth and our school system. Growth must be managed responsibly, with regular infrastructure reviews to ensure roads, utilities, public safety, and essential services keep pace. Education is the centerpiece of our community and vital to our future. I intend to work with the School Board, IDB and Planning Commission, support school funding, and promote transparency and open communication. Our children and city must have the best support possible.
I plan to involve citizens through open communication, community meetings, and online opportunities to share concerns and ideas. I support livestreaming all meetings to inclue resident commits and providing online access to agendas, minutes, and public information through an updated city website. I will listen to all viewpoints, promote transparency, and keep residents informed about decisions, priorities, and progress affecting our community. I would also recommend a city Public Affiars REP.
