If elected to the Lake County Council representing District 1, my three priorities will be:

#1 Strengthening public safety while protecting civil rights and expanding access to mental health services so people in crisis receive the help they need and our communities remain safe.

#2 Investing in infrastructure and responsible economic development that creates good-paying jobs and strengthens our local communities.

#3 Promoting fiscal responsibility and transparent government to ensure taxpayer dollars are spent wisely and residents understand how decisions are made.
My background in community and economic development, along with municipal administration, has given me a strong understanding of how public policy shapes the growth and well-being of our communities. Through my work and education, I have focused on how local government decisions impact economic opportunity, public services, and quality of life. I have also been actively engaged in civic and community issues, strengthening my commitment to public service. These experiences have prepared me to approach county government thoughtfully, focusing on responsible budgeting, smart economic development, and policies that improve the lives of Lake County residents.
In the face of budget reductions, my focus would be protecting essential services and the workers who deliver them while improving efficiency and accountability.

I would support careful review of spending to eliminate waste and ensure resources are directed to the services residents rely on most. Investing in strong communication, modern systems, and coordination between departments can improve service quality and accuracy even during financial challenges.

Responsible budgeting means making thoughtful decisions that maintain public services, support the workforce, and ensure taxpayer dollars are used effectively.
As a non-incumbent, I believe strong communication with constituents must be a priority from the start. If elected, I would ensure residents have multiple ways to share concerns and ideas, including community meetings, open office hours, and accessible digital communication.

I would also work with neighborhood groups, community organizations, and local leaders to stay connected to the issues residents face. I also believe public meetings should be scheduled at times that are more accessible for working residents so more people can participate. My goal is open, transparent communication so constituents feel heard, informed, and represented.
I believe effective local government starts with listening to the people it serves. I am committed to approaching this role with openness, transparency, and a focus on practical solutions that strengthen our communities.

My goal is to work collaboratively, make responsible decisions with taxpayer resources, and ensure residents feel heard and represented. I believe thoughtful public policy and strong community engagement can help build safer neighborhoods, stronger local economies, and a better quality of life for everyone.
