The supervisor is the town s chief executive and is responsible for coordinating the operations of all town departments, as well as developing and proposing the town budget. The supervisor presides over the Town Council, an elected body that enacts town legislation, passes budgets, and conducts hearings on matters involving town government and serves a 2 year term.

Having been Deputy Commissioner at State Parks and having been a five term town supervisor. You learn how to listen!
Ensure that the 200 people who contributed to the Draft Comprehensive are listened to. No Town Board emergency meetings that are not emergencies. Ensure that the Town is operate in an open and transparent fashion. Ensure that Water District 2 is completed on time and on budget. That special interests' influence is diminished on the Town Board and other boards. That the Town Code is applied without favoritism. That Town spending is frugal and taxes are held in check. For ten years I produced an on time and balanced budget along with the OFC annual financial report that was completed each year before March 30.
I am a 30 year resident of the town. I coached youth soccer and continue to volunteer at the local food pantry.
My two grown children both went through Averill Park Schools. My wife and my son were both members of the volunteer fire company.
I support the Fire Company, the Library and public spaces in the town and the region.
I have made it my business to campaign as much as I can door to door. Signs and letters have their place, but they do not replace that personal conversation about what is good, bad or indifferent about the town.
