I am a lawyer. In my first job as a law clerk to the presiding judge of Hudson County, I sat through hundreds of arraignments and watched people try to follow proceedings they could not understand. Today I represent workers who assumed nobody would listen. Most of that work is listening carefully and explaining what happens next. A court works when everyone in the room can follow what is being said and be heard. I would like the chance to run Croton's court that way.
