Watchung Hills Regional High School serves both Somerset and Morris counties in New Jersey. Students come from Warren Township, Watchung, and Green Brook in Somerset county; and Long Hill Township in Morris county.Watchung Hills Regional High School Is a comprehensive secondary school that strives for educational excellence. The focal point of the educational program is the student. Students are taught to think logically and critically and to achieve their fullest academic potential. The school encourages individual self-realization along with social and civic responsibility. The educational program strives to create an awareness of and a tolerance for other cultures and an understanding of moral and aesthetic values.Of the nine elected seats, four are allocated to Warren Township, three to Long Hill Township and two to Watchung; One seat is appointed by Green Brook Township.This election is for one seat from Watchung Borough.

I have been on the Board for two terms, and the President for the past two years. Prior to be elected to the Board of Education for Watchung Hills Regional High School, i was the President of the Board of Education for Millburn (Short Hills).
I am deeply committed top public education and ensuring that our students have the best opportunities, while still being fiscally responsible.

The budget is one of the most challenging areas of being a board member. With rising health care costs and money contractually obligated on teachers and staff. I authored a resolution presented to the State of New Jersey and the Department of Education, for the state to create a state healthcare system for all teachers, as well as requiring the state to further increase their legal, moral and ethical obligation to fund special education and the related transportation costs.
