I am a concerned citizen stepping up for change. I want to make a difference in our community by leading with integrity, transparency and accountability. I will serve Allen County mainly by safeguarding public funds, modernizing outdated processes, and ensuring financial transparency and fiscal responsibility.
The most important function of the County Auditor is to manage county funds, handling all receipts and disbursements with the transparency and integrity that the role dictates.
I would work to improve the County Auditor's office by modernizing digital access, making the office more accessible to residents by bringing it into the modern age. I also would aim to make information and calculations about real estate tax abatements and deferrals easier for the public to understand, I would combine clear, standardized explanations with interactive, user‑friendly tools and transparent, plain‑language resources.

I have spent 34 years in this office and want to see the continued success of our office and county government. We have a tenured staff and it is important to ensure that the skills and knowledge are passed down the the next generation of employees.
Our responsibilities are to ensure all taxpayers dollars are spent in accordance with local, state, and federal law. We are also responsible for the application of deductions, exemptions, and credits and the calculation of property tax bills. Tax dollars for all units of government flow through our office. It is critical that we have the skills and knowledge to do all this correctly to ensure the safekeeping of all county residents tax dollars.
I have done several speaking engagements to help in the understanding of how taxes are calculated and used by all units of government. I will continue to volunteer for further outreach to any all that ask. We also post information on our website to explain property taxes, specifically, why bills change from year to year. I will continue to add more informative documents also.
