Describe your background.
I have proudly served the people of Howard County for more than twelve years in the Recorder’s Office, and it has been an honor to continue that service as the incumbent County Recorder. Throughout my time in the office, I have focused on professionalism, and protecting the historical and legal documents that safeguard our community’s records. I believe that the Recorder’s Office should evolve as our county grows, and I’ve worked hard to stay ahead of changes in the field. I have attended numerous educational conferences to keep up with best practices, new technologies, and emerging challenges. That ongoing training has helped me implement meaningful improvements that benefit citizens every day.
I believe having over a decade of hands-on experience in the role, I strive to stay ahead of changes in the field, by attending educational conferences to keep up with best practices, and new technologies. I have form great repour with the local title companies, other county offices and local attorneys.
If elected my top priority would be to continue to maintain and preserve the counties land records. Expanding online access to Howard County’s historical documents. Making these records searchable online improves convenience for residents, researchers, and local businesses, while preserving the integrity of our physical archives. Balancing modernization with preservation has been a priority throughout my tenure. I am also committed to educating our community about Property Fraud Alert — an important resource that helps protect residents from fraudulent activity involving their property records.
