1. Open Primaries: 25% of district voters are excluded from voting in the primaries. Expands the Candidates conversation, which reduces the importance of party labels.

2. Ban Social Media: Like alcohol, tobacco, and marijuana, social media should be prohibited for anyone under 21 years-old.

3. Every Honest, Hard-Working New Yorker Deserves a Decent Life: This agenda focuses on safer neighborhoods, stronger schools, affordability, responsible technology, less government waste, and accountability in Albany
1. Climate-resilient infrastructure — protect New Yorkers from flooding and extreme weather 2. Make buildings and transportation cleaner without making life unaffordable 3. Spend climate money where it produces measurable protection
I frame it as Racial and Social Equity. This should not mean lowering expectations or dividing New Yorkers into groups. It should mean removing unnecessary barriers so that a person's race, background, ZIP code or economic circumstances don't determine their opportunity to succeed. 1. Equality: Everyone should be treated equally under the law. 2. Equity: Government should recognize that some communities or individuals face different barriers and make sure those barriers don't prevent them from having a fair opportunity. Specific areas include employment and economic mobility, housing, education, and criminal justice.
I believe the Supreme Court's decision in Louisiana v. Callais was a bad decision because it makes it harder to use the Voting Rights Act to protect minority voters from having their voting power diluted. I would: 1. Protect minority voting power 2. Propose stronger state protections against discriminatory voting practices and vote dilution The goal should not be to guarantee a particular electoral outcome. It should be to ensure that every New Yorker—including racial and language minorities—has a meaningful and equal opportunity to participate in our democracy.
