1. Right now we have a Republican representing us in an overwhelmingly Democratic Albany, which means we have no seat at the table — and when you don't have a seat, you're on the menu. My opponent is also Deputy Mayor of Cedarhurst, so when he's in Albany he's neglecting Cedarhurst, and when he's in Cedarhurst he's neglecting Albany. We need a full-time assemblyman who is actually in the room fighting for us.
2.Every family in District 20 deserves to feel safe in their own neighborhood, in their home, and walking down the street. I'll fight for real public safety resources and I'll take a strong stand against antisemitism and all forms of hate that are threatening our community.
3. Whether a child goes to public school, private school, or yeshiva, they deserve a quality education and their fair share of funding from Albany. I'll fight to make sure all of our schools in District 20 — public and non-public — get the resources and support they need to thrive.
For District 20, the most beneficial climate policy is focused on protection and affordability — investing in coastal resiliency, flood mitigation, and a stronger, more modern power grid to protect communities like Long Beach, Island Park, and the Five Towns that live this issue every time it floods. We need to upgrade our infrastructure, harden our shorelines, and incentivize energy efficiency to lower skyrocketing utility bills, not raise them. I support practical, common-sense environmental policies that protect our neighborhoods from storm damage and reduce emissions without punishing working families with higher taxes and fees.
I will pursue policies that make justice and opportunity real for everyone. That means ensuring equal funding for our public schools so every child gets a strong education regardless of zip code, expanding affordable housing and enforcing anti-discrimination housing laws, and supporting economic opportunity and small businesses in underserved communities. It also means making our criminal justice system both fair and safe — we need strong law enforcement to keep our neighborhoods safe, and we should not let one bad apple define an entire profession of dedicated public servants. I will protect civil rights while supporting our police, and I will strengthen hate crimes laws and enforcement to combat the rise in antisemitism, racism, and all forms of hate.
After Louisiana v. Callais, New York should ensure our elections remain fair, constitutional, and representative for all communities. I support our Independent Redistricting Commission drawing maps that keep communities together, follow the Constitution's Equal Protection Clause, and give every voter an equal voice without racial gerrymandering in either direction. We should protect equal ballot access for every eligible voter and ensure New York's laws continue to prohibit discrimination while respecting the Supreme Court's guidance that districts should not be drawn unconstitutionally based on race.
