Alongside the New York State Senate, it forms the legislative branch of the New York state government and works alongside the governor of New York to create laws and establish a state budget. Legislative authority and responsibilities of the New York State Assembly include passing bills on public policy matters, setting levels for state spending, raising and lowering taxes, and voting to uphold or override gubernatorial vetoes.The New York State Assembly meets in the state capitol building in Albany, New York.Assembly District 8 includes parts of Suffolk county.

Experience and Qualifications
I bring more than 36 years of experience in healthcare, including leadership and supervisory responsibilities as a nuclear medicine technologist. My career taught me how to work with people from every background, make careful decisions, solve problems under pressure and advocate for patients and families navigate complicated systems.

More solar usage, more regulations on data centers and AI. Our drinking water open spaces,coastlines,and parks are vital to our health and well being. I support stronger protections for our water supply, investments in clean energy and resilient infrastructure, and responsible redevelopment.
I will pursue policies that reduce disparities in healthcare, including better access to preventive care ,maternal care, mental health services, and affordable treatment in underserved communities. I will support funding for public schools, expanded vocational and technical education.
New York must protect equal voting rights while ensuring that its district maps comply with the constitution. We should preserve strong protections against intentional discrimination. We need to supply the AG with the resources necessary to enforce those protections
