Safety: Keeping New Yorkers safe is my top priority. I’ve broken up dozens of gun and drug trafficking rings and ghost gun operators bringing weapons and fentanyl into New York through the Iron Pipeline, filed one of the most extensive cases in the country against gun manufacturers, and led the fight that took nearly 10,000 illegal guns off the streets through community buyback programs.

Affordability: I’ll use every power at my disposal to keep New Yorkers’ bills low, cracking down on scams against our neighbors, protecting workers from wage theft, and holding corporations accountable when they squeeze New Yorkers for profit.

Justice: I’ll keep fighting to hold the powerful to account, whether in Albany, Wall Street, or Washington. I’ve taken on the federal government’s unlawful attacks on immigrants, voting rights, reproductive freedom, and more, and I’ll never stop protecting New Yorkers’ rights.

The biggest threat to our voting rights in New York is the federal government. This February, when our voting rights were under attack, I led a multistate coalition urging the Senate to reject the extremist SAVE America Act, legislation that had the potential to unlawfully nationalize elections, undermine states’ authority, disenfranchise millions of eligible voters, and have a disproportionate impact on married women and people.

Most recently, the federal government tried to block American’s ability to vote by mail. This last-minute change could have thrown our elections into chaos — that’s why I joined a coalition of Attorneys General nationwide to sue the USPS to block the Trump Administration’s new attempt to squash a key Democratic right. Voters should never have to wonder whether a ballot they legally cast will be counted because the federal government suddenly changed the rules. I will keep fighting to make sure every eligible ballot is counted come November.

When systemic flaws lead to unjust outcomes, we must change the system. That belief shaped my career as a public defender and still guides me as Attorney General. The Office of Special Investigation (OSI) holds law enforcement accountable when misconduct costs lives. This year, OSI successfully prosecuted an NYPD sergeant who threw a cooler at Eric Duprey in the Bronx, causing his death.

I’ll keep strengthening the Law Enforcement Misconduct Investigative Office, which oversees 500+ local agencies, investigates misconduct, and can compel referrals when an officer draws five-plus complaints in two years, and utilize the Special Prosecutor authority to cover misconduct by police and corrections staff, and hold officials accountable.

After Eric Garner’s death, I was the first elected official to call for a special prosecutor and sued to release the grand jury minutes, because I fundamentally believe that sunlight is the best disinfectant.

I’ve taken on the federal government’s unlawful attacks on immigrants, voting rights, reproductive freedom, and more — because when the federal government harms those I am sworn to protect, I have a duty and a responsibility to protect their interests. My office has filed over 80 lawsuits against this administration, winning over 80 percent of the time, and protected nearly a quarter million New York jobs and billions of dollars in taxpayer dollars. Behind every dollar protected and every job preserved is a New Yorker, a family, or a community that deserves a fair shot.

That is why I fight. I first ran for office because I saw too many neighbors left behind. I will always wield the sword and shield of the law on their behalf, fending off attacks from anyone who looks to cheat or shortchange New Yorkers.
